The Bauhaus Donut Lamp frees up the surfaces in a room by moving light onto the wall, where it belongs. A Bauhaus profile keeps it discreet in use and easy to live with. In short: a Bauhaus wall light suited to bedroom, hallway and living room. Nothing about it is fussy to live with: it cleans easily, it does not mark readily, and it does not need rearranging around.
It works flanking a mirror, and pairs well with a second unit when a space needs symmetry. The specification is where it pulls ahead: LED light source, step-free dimming. Unpacking takes a minute and nothing beyond basic household tools is needed. Proportion matters more than ornament here, so the wall light is sized to read as deliberate in a small space and still hold its own in a large one.
The fittings are solid rather than decorative, and the surface resists the marks that everyday handling leaves behind. Like the rest of the Deluxe Collective range, it is picked for pieces that still look right in three years. Electrical installation should follow local wiring regulations, and mains-wired fixtures are best fitted by a qualified electrician. The finish is consistent across the range, which makes it straightforward to repeat the same look in more than one space.
