Low ceilings and busy hallways need light that disappears into the architecture, which is what the Scandinavian Wooden Lotus Ceiling Light is built to do. The Scandinavian design keeps the lines simple so the solid wood does the talking. Cast resin is used where the piece is handled most, which is where a cheaper finish would show first. In short: a Scandinavian, solid wood, cast resin ceiling light suited to bedroom, hallway and living room.
It works in a living room, and pairs well with a second unit when a space needs symmetry. Dimensions, colour and fitting options are listed in the specification below. Proportion matters more than ornament here, so the ceiling light is sized to read as deliberate in a small space and still hold its own in a large one.
It is put together to be serviced rather than replaced, with fixings that stay tight and a finish that cleans up with a dry cloth. Part of the Deluxe Collective range, it is chosen to sit alongside the rest of the collection without clashing. Electrical installation should follow local wiring regulations, and mains-wired fixtures are best fitted by a qualified electrician. The finish is consistent across the range, which makes it straightforward to repeat the same look in more than one space.
