Low ceilings and busy hallways need light that disappears into the architecture, which is what the Vaako Ceiling Lamp is built to do. The quiet-luxury design keeps the lines simple so the solid walnut does the talking. Solid wood is used where the piece is handled most, which is where a cheaper finish would show first. In short: a quiet-luxury, solid walnut, solid wood ceiling light suited to bedroom, hallway and living room.
Install it above a landing and the light lands where you want it rather than spilling across the whole space. Practical details carry the rest, starting with the LED light source. Unpacking takes a minute and nothing beyond basic household tools is needed. Proportion matters more than ornament here, so the ceiling light is sized to read as deliberate in a small space and still hold its own in a large one.
The fittings are solid rather than decorative, and the surface resists the marks that everyday handling leaves behind. Part of the Deluxe Collective range, it is chosen to sit alongside the rest of the collection without clashing. Electrical installation should follow local wiring regulations, and mains-wired fixtures are best fitted by a qualified electrician. The finish is consistent across the range, which makes it straightforward to repeat the same look in more than one space.
