This men's parka is made from polyester and built for the wet end of winter rather than just the cold end. An adjustable hood is the key piece: a hood that cinches down actually stays on in wind, which a fixed one does not.
Zip pockets on the chest and sleeves are the practical detail, keeping phone and cards secure when you are moving rather than letting them slide out. The regular fit leaves room for layers underneath, and long sleeves give full coverage. How to measure. Use a soft tape, keep it level and snug but not tight, and measure over your underwear rather than over clothes.
Bust or chest: around the fullest part, with the tape under the arms and flat across the back.
Waist: around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the navel.
Hip: around the fullest part of your hips and seat, roughly eight inches below the waist.
Inseam: from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.
