This women's wool coat takes the double-breasted shape and runs it long, which is the combination that reads as tailored rather than thrown on. The classic long fit covers down past the hip so it works over dresses and wide pants as well as over jeans, and the double-breasted front gives the chest a structured line that a single row of buttons never manages.
It is built for layering rather than for show. Wear it over a light turtleneck and wide pants for the stacked look that works all through fall, or over a thin knit when the weather is only just turning. The tailored cut keeps the silhouette clean even with something bulky underneath, which is the hard part for a long coat.

How to measure. Use a soft tape, keep it level and snug but not tight, and measure over your underwear rather than over clothes.
Bust or chest: around the fullest part, with the tape under the arms and flat across the back.
Waist: around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually just above the navel.
Hip: around the fullest part of your hips and seat, roughly eight inches below the waist.
Inseam: from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.
